“As long as our brain is a mystery, the universe, the reflection of the structure of the brain, will also be a mystery.”
A quote by the Spanish neuroscientist Santiago Ramón y Cajal who won the Nobel prize for pioneering research into the fine structure of the nervous system, particularly the structure of the synapse.
Beautiful quote.
Pity that Cajal’s tradition didn’t grow in Spain as much as it could…but great to see to many great researchers nowadays such as Alvaro Pascual-Leone and Joaquin Fuster (in the US), Teodoro del Ser and Lluis Tarraga (in Spain), and others.
