Burying your head in the sand

A video of people making beautiful anatomically correct sand sculptures of the brain on the bank of the River Thames in London.

The slightly surreal event was organised by neuroscientist Zarinah Agnew. Why? I have no idea. But why not?

    Maybe a big brain made of sand has same number of sand grains as a real sized brain has neurons?

  4. They should make anatomy students do this. 😉 Both artists and medical folk can learn from these types of representations, just like artists learn from studying skeletons. I’d love to see this done in ice.
