It’s just struck me that Eric Kandel looks remarkably similar to Doc Brown from Back to the Future.
Is there something missing from Professor Kandel’s otherwise candid biography?
I think we should be told.

Actually, truth be told, my eyes went immediately to the picture on the right, and I thought to myself, “Yeah, he does look a lot like Christopher Lloyd, but the eyes are different.” There’s surely a point to be made here by someone who knows the literature on vision better than I.
