I would reckon this effect applies to more activities than just driving, such as walking, bicycling , cooking a meal for a girl you like (ever ruined a meal – or your fingers – for no reason?), etc. We tend to lose concentration and make asses out of ourselves around an attractive mate, that’s nothing new.
But the actual increase of error while driving is downright worrying!
