Language poetry was greatly inspired by schizophrenia and Frederic Jameson used a language poem in “Postmodernism or Cultural Logic of Late Capitalism” as part of some long convoluted argument that “late” capitalistic culture is “schizophrenic” although he admitted he was only using it as an “aesthetic” term. Dylan Thomas is much more aethetically pleasing than most language poetry though, or aguments that “post”modernism is any different from modernism for that matter.
